Job Description

The Global Fund Community Systems Strengthening under Ghana Coalition of NGOs in Health (GCNH) as a potential Sub-recipient (SR) with the Ministry of Health/ Ghana Health Service/ National AIDS and STIs Control Program (NACP) as the Principal Recipient is soliciting applications from suitable and highly qualified individuals to fill the following position: Project Coordinator

The post holders will be responsible for the implementation of the Grant Cycle 7 under GCNH.

Please note that this recruitment is contingent upon the award of the Global Fund GC7 grant to GCNH as SR.

Position details

Title: Project Coordinator

Project: Global Fund Community Systems Strengthening – GCNH

Duty station:  Accra

Duration: 12 months initially, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and fund availability

Supervisor: Senior Technical Advisor

Reports toTeam Lead

Responsibilities for the Project Coordinator

  • Take the key role as the administrative lead and focal person from related activities.
  • To provide overall management support to Senior Technical Advisor, Technical Officer, and Finance and other program activities.
  • The Project Coordinator acts as a catalyst between the Technical Advisors for the CSS and the cadres in the field to ensure effective coordination and communication arrangements are in place for implementing project activities.
  • Develop workplan/timelines for the CSS project activities.
  • Ensure, in close coordination with the finance team, that all procurements under the GC7 grant are made within a given timeframe and monitor the procurement process, ensure timely supply chain and the beneficiaries receive the services/items.
  • Perform other related duties as required

Planning and Organizing: Ability to develop clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies; ability to foresee risks and allow for contingencies when planning; and, ability to identify priority activities and adjust them as required.
