The Global Fund Community Systems Strengthening under Ghana Coalition of NGOs in Health (GCNH) as a potential Sub-recipient (SR) with the Ministry of Health/ Ghana Health Service/ National AIDS and STIs Control Program (NACP) as the Principal Recipient is soliciting applications from suitable and highly qualified individuals to fill the following position: Senior Technical Advisor
The post holders will be responsible for the implementation of the Grant Cycle 7 under GCNH.
Please note that this recruitment is contingent upon the award of the Global Fund GC7 grant to GCNH as SR.
Position details
Title: Senior Technical Advisor
Project: Global Fund Community Systems Strengthening – GCNH
Duty station: Accra
Duration: 12 months initially, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and fund availability
Supervisor: Team Lead
Reports to: Team Lead
Responsibilities for the Senior Technical Advisor
- Foster and facilitate collaboration and coordination among stakeholders.
- Ensure proper coordination, collaboration, and communication among PR, SR, IPs, and for efficient operation of the CSS project with GCNH.
- Oversee the overall implementation of the CSS grant and work with other team members such as M&E and Data, finance, Technical Officer and Project Coordinator for timely completion of all planned activities.
- Represent GCNH in Global Fund related meetings with its partners (GHS, NACP, etc.).
- Provide regular CSS grant implementation updates internally within the GCNH CSS team and other relevant external meetings/agencies.
- Adhere and comply with Code of Ethics and Conduct as given by Global Fund and GCNH
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualification for Team Lead, Senior Technical Advisor and Project Coordinator
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Public Health, Project Management, or any relevant field with at least 10 years post Degree experience in managing/ coordinating health programs in Ghana. or
- Master’s Degree with 5 years relevant work experience in managing health and or Development project
- Experience in working with local and or international NGOs
- Experience in developing, monitoring and or evaluating projects
- Experience in working with multiple stakeholders
- Strong writing, facilitation, and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Persons with relevant professional network within the health sector space of Ghana

Planning and Organizing: Ability to develop clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies; ability to foresee risks and allow for contingencies when planning; and, ability to identify priority activities and adjust them as required.
