MAN Energy Solutions is currently looking for an Superintendent Engineer.
We can offer you the following tasks
- Review and approve invoices internally.
- Prepare and adapt technical documentation (e.g. test lists, commissioning and service instructions as well as adapt testing software, select and compile testing aids), coordinate and implement technical solutions, prepare documentation and professional guidance of employees during complex installation, commissioning and service work of engines and / or turbochargers and their auxiliary systems (e.g. VTA, TCS-PTG, ETB …) on internal and external engines and industrial plants at home and abroad.
- Plan, monitor and track commissioning and service projects and daily progress and work completed in a technically perfect and economical manner. Coordinate dates for (commissioning and) service work with project manager, sales and customers and monitor compliance with these dates. Analyze faults and determine remedial measures. Suggest technical solutions to problems and coordinate them with customers and other trades. In the event of imminent delays or to ensure that technical requirements are met, work out solutions and negotiate with those involved (e.g. customers, other trades, sales, development department), even if there are conflicting interests. Recording and evaluating over- and underperformance, coordinating with customers and negotiating recognition. Acceptance of plants / systems, have deviations in delivery and performance corrected. Hand over plants, systems etc. to customers and documenting the handover. Advise and, if necessary, instruct customers in service and commissioning issues.
- In the event of a warranty claim, clarify the causes, determine the extent of damage/repair and forward a warranty recommendation for decision to HQ. Plan and implement measures to ensure the availability of the system and the presence of service personnel in the event of a fault within the contractual periods / deadlines and to schedule spare parts.
- Create plant and system documentation as well as the associated documents (e.g. checklists, engine performance curves, charge air comparison curves, error logs). Comply with all Engineering Standards, Quality Assurance / Quality Control and Safety procedures, plus all Company rules and regulations and ensure compliance with them.
- Instruct and train employees – if necessary also internal/external employees – with less experience or qualifications. Deploy employees according to their qualifications. Monitor the execution of work. Check the results of work. Support employees in improving their work processes. Identify and implement “on‐the‐job” training programs with the aim of developing and improving team members’ competency in required skills and abilities. Develop, design and implement overall field service strategies with cross company implications for his / her field of activity.
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Be an expert and responsible to manage complex field service missions according to all Global PrimeServ policies, processes & guidelines.
- Liaise with other staff to ensure the optimum interface of the various operational activities, with the overall objective of successful completion of the maintenance / service activities and projects.
- Be an extra resource at the PrimeServ office in supporting customers with technical support.
- Provide input for the Service Manager with appraisal and assessment interviews.
- Assist in gathering market information and maximize selling opportunities
- Issue a service report and/or check the reports received from technicians and correcting any incorrect/missing points.
- Keep the records of documents and relevant reports for all activities and works in accordance with ISO and MAN ES rules and directives requirements, and file these records as hard copies.
- Assist workshops in technical matters as required, establish and maintain good business relations and communication with all customers.
Essential
- Detailed understanding of the business both technical and commercial levels
- Experience from working on machinery automation systems, engine officer from sea going vessels, LNG systems and Service on Engines and TC
- Knowledge in technical report writing with Microsoft
- Advanced analytical thinking, independent, punctual, resolute, hands-on mentality, team leader
- Customer orientation and good communication skills
- Detailed understanding of the business both technical and commercial levels

- Demonstrated application engineering approach
- Experience from working with LNG fuel gas supply systems
- Experience from commissioning work on vessels
