Roche in Ghana has a reputation as a preferred partner in creating and operationalizing programs aimed at improving access to cancer care in Ghana and other countries.
Over the past two decades, Roche Ghana has partnered and collaborated with stakeholders ranging from Government institutions to Patient Association Groups (PAGs) and private companies to create awareness, education and systems designed at improving diagnosis, treatment and decentralized cancer care across the country. We are helping to improve and make the cancer patient journey bearable and seamless. We envision a decentralized and scalable patient care pathway that allows cancer patients to get a second chance to life. We share a vision with Nestle Ghana to co-create an integrated model of cancer screening and education, diagnosis and linkage to excellent treatment and psychological support for Nestle employees and their families.
This program will be a comprehensive cancer support program designed to assist Nestle employees and their families who may be affected by any type of cancer. The program aims to raise awareness, encourage early detection, facilitate diagnosis and
treatment, and provide psychological support throughout the patient journey.
This internship position is located in Accra, Ghana, hybrid.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and organize events aimed at promoting cancer awareness, screening and psychological and palliative care
- Design an efficient and seamless referral pathway for cancer care
- Facilitate timely diagnosis and treatment at cancer centers of excellence
- Coordinate, monitor and evaluate the impact of this intervention
Who You Are
You are enrolled or have completed your Bachelor’s or Master’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of health promotion and project management within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months and getting to know the pharmaceutical industry.
Furthermore you are
- Passionate about systems improvement in the healthcare sector (preferred)
- In possession of strong project management capabilities (required)
- Systems Thinker (preferred)
- Ability to work cross functionally (preferred)
- Ability to work independently (preferred)
