Position : Senior Financial AnalystThe Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for mainly executing assigned tasks on projects, managing low risk engagements when the opportunity arises, providing team and playing key roles on business and industry thought leadership projects. Aside client deliverables, you will contribute to developing and improving skills, knowledge, and performance of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Senior Financial Analysts are assigned to a variety of projects and are given a broad range of responsibilities, some of which include the following:
- Assist in business development activities such as preparation of proposals and expression of interest, thought leadership etc.
- Provide assistance in developing financial models to assess debt and equity financing alternatives for transactions
- Provide valuable input to equity offerings, valuations, private placements, mergers and acquisitions advisory engagements
- Provide support on transaction advisory engagements for Project Finance and Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects
- Using both historic and predictive data, assist companies (“vendors”) and investors (“buyers”) to focus on key risks and opportunities that drive value in target businesses and help clients to maximize value from their transactions.
- Provide research support for analysis of a developing transaction
- Develop and keep up to date economic and industry databooks to aid the firm’s research and analysis process.
- Draft all supporting documents for ongoing transactions such as Information memorandum, teasers, Due Diligence Reports, Business plans, feasibility studies etc.
- Draft client presentations and documents
- Assist in providing advice and consultation to private businesses and public and private agencies
- Assist in the identification and restructuring of distressed companies
- Assist in developing turnaround strategies to help restructure the operations and finances of distressed businesses.
- Apply business, economics, finance, accounting and analytical skills to various client situations and practice disciplines
- Analyse economic indicators and make recommendations for business investment projects
- Analyse market activity and select business investments that will yield high returns for small and medium scale institutions
- Follow current events in respective industry groups in order to keep the team informed about critical issues in the news that are relevant to current and prospective clients
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the skills, knowledge, and performance of junior or less experienced team members through participation in, and facilitation of, internal trainings and on-the-job trainings.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required profile for job ad : Senior Financial AnalystExperience:
- Five (5) years or more of relevant investment banking or advisory experience
Qualifications Required:
- 1st Class Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science or Mathematics
- Part or full qualified in either ACCA, ICA or CFA
