Sponsor Donor Support Associate II at Compassion International


Job Description


As a Sponsor Donor Support Associate you will serve as a coordinator of relationships between sponsors and participants within Compassion International’s operations in Ghana. In this role you will execute the day-to-day processes and activities to service the sponsor-donor connection. Specifically, the Sponsor Donor Support Associate processes child sponsorship, child survival, youth and other field program communication resources.



What will you do?

  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully uphold Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
  • Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritize child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur.
  • Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.
  • Work directly or in cooperation with appropriate staff, coordinating the gathering of communication resources from Church partners.
  • Provide production schedules with deadlines as well as feedback on the quality of information received.
  • Collaborate with various field office staff to conduct and support marketing or external relations related information processing.
  • Generate, organize, record, and track child, mother-child unit and participant – sponsor correspondence documents.
  • Monitor quality of documents and prepare them for entry into the database for dispatching.
  • Produce electronic child information by entering child and sponsorship data into database and produce database reports and maintain computer files. Also review, approve or reject child information received.
  • Provide some general administrative support.
  • Provide technical advice on systems and programs commonly used in this role to other assistants and offices.

What do you bring?

  • Higher National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree
  • Two years relevant experience working in either customer service, relationship management or administration
  • Prior experience in customer service or relationship management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Limited travel required (under 10%)
