Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders.
- Review and approve supplier invoices related to a project.
- Review and approve time sheets for work related to a project
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Liaising with and responding to auditor queries regarding projects
- Produce project financial analysis as required by the project team to assist decision-making
- Track in coordination with project managers, all commitments, purchases, and outstanding project expenses.
- Assists in preparation of project budgets.
- Conducts analysis and reports on deviation from project budget parameters
- Perform analysis of the project draw requests and cash flows by subcontractor
- Review payables postings to ensure accuracy of accounting
- Review Project Manager-prepared job cost reports for accuracy
- Prepare project cash flow forecasts, updating monthly for changes in estimates and schedules based on information provided by other functional teams
- Assists as necessary with routine general ledger close and account reconciliation functions
- Keeping a record of project expenses, contracts, and other accounting data
- Track unbilled supplies and works for accrual and invoicing
- Facilitate all outgoing checks, including writing, printing, obtaining signatures for, and distributing checks as necessary
- Overseeing the transfer of funds to various vendors and suppliers
- Manage disbursement of petty cash
