Profile Description
GreenGate Foods is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Production Planner to coordinate production schedules and ensure efficient use of raw materials, equipment, labor, and production capacity. The ideal candidate should have strong planning and supply chain skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience in food processing or FMCG manufacturing, with a proven ability to meet production targets while minimizing delays, waste, and excess inventory.
Job Summary
The Production Planner will be responsible for planning and coordinating production activities to ensure GreenGate Foods meets customer demand efficiently while maintaining optimal inventory levels, production capacity, and product quality. The role will coordinate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, Sales, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth and timely manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand, forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.
• Coordinate production schedules with Production Supervisors and Plant Management.
• Review sales forecasts and customer orders to determine production requirements.
• Ensure adequate availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and other production inputs.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse teams to prevent material shortages and production delays.
• Monitor production progress against planned schedules and identify potential delays or capacity constraints.
• Adjust production plans in response to changes in customer demand, material availability, equipment breakdowns, or other operational issues.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess stock, shortages, and production waste.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure production schedules accommodate quality checks and product release requirements.
• Work closely with Maintenance to plan production around preventive maintenance and equipment availability.
• Monitor production capacity, machine utilization, labor availability, and bottlenecks.
• Maintain accurate production schedules, planning records, inventory data, and performance reports.
• Track key production planning indicators, including schedule adherence, production output, downtime, and material utilization.
• Communicate changes to production schedules promptly to relevant departments.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving production efficiency, reducing waste, and minimizing downtime.
• Participate in production meetings and provide updates on production plans, constraints, and priorities.
• Prepare regular production planning reports for management.
• Ensure production planning activities comply with company policies, food safety requirements, and quality standards.
