The Role:
- Undertake assessments – assessment of daily living capabilities and provide intervention with a focus on evidence-based practice.
- Major and minor home modification recommendations
- Prescription of equipment, assistive technologies and other therapy supports
- Liaison with family and other relevant stakeholders
- Providing treatment, guidance and education to individuals and their carers.
- Caseloads are tailored to interest and professional goals
Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Therapy (with upcoming or current AHPRA registration)
- A passion for facilitating and enabling meaningful outcomes for people with disability and their families
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and families to ensure that therapy is fun and engaging.
- Current driver’s license and car
- Working with Children Check, National Police Check, Children’s First Aid training (or willingness to obtain these).
