Job Summary
The Fleet Manager will oversee the efficient, safe, and cost-effective management of the organization’s vehicles and transport operations. The role is responsible for fleet planning, vehicle maintenance, driver supervision, fuel management, compliance, and ensuring reliable transportation services.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fleet management policies, procedures, and operational plans.
• Manage vehicle allocation, scheduling, dispatch, utilization, and transportation requirements.
• Ensure vehicles are regularly serviced, maintained, inspected, licensed, and insured.
• Develop and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, vehicle utilization, and fleet operating costs.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate drivers and transport staff.
• Promote road safety and ensure compliance with driver and vehicle safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, fuel usage, maintenance, insurance, and licensing.
• Coordinate vehicle procurement, replacement, disposal, and fleet expansion.
• Manage vehicle accidents, investigations, insurance claims, and corrective actions.
• Monitor fleet performance and identify opportunities to reduce fuel, maintenance, and operating costs.
• Manage relationships with garages, suppliers, insurance companies, and other service providers.
• Prepare regular fleet performance, utilization, maintenance, and cost reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, transport regulations, health and safety requirements, and environmental standards.
