LOCATION: Stansted Airport

SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 2 off

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week

SALARY: £25,905.00 per annum

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

Blue Handling provides exclusive Ground Handling services to the Ryanair Group and are currently recruiting Check-in / Customer Service Agents to provide excellent customer service to our passengers as part of the Ground Operations team located at Stansted Airport.

We have multiple positions available to support our ever-growing schedule at Stansted Airport with improved pay package from £25,905.00 p/a with a guaranteed increase in April 2024, followed by a further guaranteed increase on completion of 1 years’ service.

These are exciting roles at the forefront of the Stansted operation with a financially secure airline, working airside/ landside to deliver a range of customer services to our passengers.

With Blue Handling you will not just be checking passengers and their luggage in, you will be a key part of the customer journey and will be trained to provide excellent customer service to our passengers at both check-in and the boarding gate, who are looking to have the best experience whilst travelling through Stansted Airport.

These roles are all full-time and permanent positions.

Please note this a shift-based role working around our busy flight schedule that will include early starts and late finishes on a 4 on 2 off shift basis, but we understand how important it is to have a good work/homelife balance so you can view your shift roster 1 year in advance!

Duties include:

  • Provide excellent customer service and ensuring all passengers have a smooth and safe journey through the airport.
  • Check in passengers for their flights, issuing boarding passes whilst checking passports and travel documents, and tagging bags.
  • Floor walking the check-in area.
  • Boarding of passengers onto their respective flights.
  • Provision of passenger assistance, handling customer complaints and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Able to provide excellent customer service to our passengers.
  • Computer literate (basic)
  • Punctual, reliable and able to work in a highly skilled team.
  • Self-starter, motivated and a team player
  • Unrestricted right to live and work in the UK (Pre-Settled Status accepted)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Successful candidates will be required to complete a full 5-year background check in order to obtain an airport ID. As part of the application process, candidates are required to disclose any unspent convictions as it may affect their eligibility for obtaining an airside pass.
