Position : Distribution Manager – Accra
We are seeking a Distribution Operations Coordinator to join our logistics team. This role involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and management of distribution activities to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods. The position requires working in a dynamic and fast-paced professional environment.
Missions:
- Organize and oversee the storage, transportation, and delivery processes to optimize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
- Develop and manage schedules for shipping, receiving, and inventory replenishment to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate logistics activities by managing transportation routes, delivery systems, and working closely with drivers, carriers, and logistics providers.
- Supervise warehouse and distribution staff by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training on safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Ensure timely deliveries by tracking shipments, resolving delays or issues promptly, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Control costs related to transportation and storage by identifying efficiencies and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and delivery reports, and prepare comprehensive reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and government regulations to maintain a safe and legal working environment.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, retailers, and customers to coordinate activities, handle complaints, and manage special delivery requests.
