Position : Technical Operator – Akosombo
We are looking for a Technical Operator to join our team. This role involves managing daily production operations, maintaining equipment, and overseeing utility systems at our bamboo pulp manufacturing plant located in Akosombo, Ghana. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of machinery, monitor system performance, and uphold safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure optimal manufacturing of bamboo pulp.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities to reduce downtime and improve machine performance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues encountered during daily operations.
- Support equipment installation, upgrades, and improvements to enhance efficiency and operational performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and utility systems to ensure continuous and safe operation.
- Follow established operational procedures and safety protocols at all times.

Profile
This Industrial Maintenance Technician position requires an experienced professional capable of effectively managing the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment while ensuring strict compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Relevant experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Educational requirement: Level II qualification or equivalent, such as a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Industrial Maintenance or a related technical qualification.

Qualifications and Skills
- Level II diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Maintenance.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in manufacturing, industrial, or processing environments.
- Strong practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Experience working with pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, boilers, production machinery, welding, fabrication, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to rotating or irregular schedules.
