Job Description


Acorns to Oaks School is a reputable Christian International School committed to providing quality education to young learners. We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team in various teaching positions:



1. Computing and Creative Arts Teacher (Basic School)

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject Teacher for Computing and Creative Art in the Upper Primary
• Create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Foster creativity and critical thinking skills through hands-on activities and projects.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to succeed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology and artistic expression into cross-curricular lessons.

2. Class Teacher (Basic 1)

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a homeroom teacher for Basic 1 students, providing instruction in all subject except French, Computing, and Ghanaian Language
• Create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes academic growth, character development, and social-emotional well-being.
• Communicate regularly with the department head to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

3. Nursery and Kindergarten Teachers

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons for nursery and kindergarten students.
• Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning experiences.
• Create a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, curiosity, and creativity.
• Create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

4. Teaching Assistant (Preschool)

Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily activities and routines for preschool-aged children.
• Provide individualized support to students to help them succeed academically and socially.
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, and outdoor activities.
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.

Qualification Required & Experience

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor & degree in Basic Education, Early Childhood, or a relevant subject area.
• Familiar with the New Standard Based Curriculum.
• Previous experiences in teaching
• Strong classroom management skills and a passion for working with young children.
