Position : Structural EngineerCapital Liberty Partners is a financial institution specialising in the construction of residential and commercial projects in Ghana and the United Kingdom. We are searching for a qualified and experienced architect to dive into the current projects we have invested in. Capital Liberty Partners is currently in the process of building a educational institution within Ghana.
As an Structural Engineer of Capital Liberty Partners, you’ll design new building projects or extensions/ alterations to existing structures and advise on the restoration and conservation of old properties.
You may work on individual buildings or on large redevelopment schemes, and your responsibility can extend to the design of the surrounding landscape and spaces.
Working closely with the project manager, you’ll make sure that projected designs match requirements and are functional, safe, and economical, and in most cases highly innovative. You’ll usually control a project from start to finish and work with several construction professionals, including surveyors and engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design of industrial buildings and equipment support structures with steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry
- Technical management of projects
- Working with client to interpret and deliver brief
- Leading projects/or elements of projects dependent on project size
- Working with clients, sub-consultants and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
- Determining budget and programme work
- Preparation of technical specifications, report writing, technical engineering support and inspection during construction
- Involvement in a project or a small portfolio of projects of various sizes
- Schematic and detailed design of structural engineering projects
- Direction of a drafting team to prepare documentation

- Knowledgeable in finite element and frame analysis software for steel and RC frames, flat slabs, (SCIA, Fastrak)
- Revit expertise advantageous
- Near Chartered/ Chartered Status
- Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering from ABET accredited university
- 2+ years of continuous structural engineering experience is required
- Demonstrate expertise in the design of structural systems for commercial, institutional and educational facilities
