Position : Safety OfficerWe are seeking a responsible Safety Officer to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines. Your primary role will be advising on measures to minimize hazards and maintain a safe working environment. Vigilance in identifying violations is crucial.ideal candidate is a dedicated individual who strictly adheres to OSH regulations. Your focus will be on preventive measures, requiring attentiveness and proactive thinking. Detail orientation is essential, especially during emergencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and implement OHS policies and programs.
- Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics.
- Prepare educational seminars and webinars on a regular basis.
- Review existing policies and procedures.
- Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
- Work with HR to set up a new employee on-boarding process for safety.
- Identify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions.
- Identify hazardous waste and disposing of it correctly.
- Check if all the employees are acting in adherence with rules and regulations
- Compile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance.
- Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees’ safety.
Required profile for job ad : Safety OfficerREQUIREMENTS:
- Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees’ safety
- Excellent knowledge of legislations and procedures
- Working knowledge of safety management information system
- Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety
- BSc/BA in safety management or similar field.
- Proficient in MS Office;
- Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
