In the ever-evolving fintech and pensions landscape, our company requires a Risk and Compliance Manager to oversee all facets of business risk, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards. The ideal candidate will craft, implement, and monitor risk management strategies that support the company’s growth while safeguarding our operations and reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Risk Management Leadership: Design and administer a comprehensive risk management program that identifies, assesses, and mitigates business risks, including strategic, financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on regulatory requirements affecting the fintech and pensions industry and ensure the company’s adherence to these standards.
  • Policy Development and Governance: Establish and update risk and compliance policies and procedures in alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Integration: Work closely with executive management to integrate risk management into the fabric of business planning and operational strategy.
  • Risk Culture and Awareness: Promote a strong risk management culture within the organization and develop educational programs to enhance company-wide awareness and compliance.
  • Compliance Framework: Build and maintain an effective compliance framework that supports international standards, the organization’s business activities and client interactions.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate the company’s risk profile and adapt strategies accordingly to regulatory changes and business evolution.
  • Compliance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and implement compliance monitoring programs and prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Incident and Issue Management: Establish procedures for the prompt identification, investigation, and remediation of risk and compliance issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies, auditors, and other external parties on all matters relating to risk and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. A Master’s degree is desireable.
  • Professional Certification: Must hold certifications in risk management (e.g., CRISC, FRM) or compliance (e.g., CRCM), with a strong preference for candidates certified in information security management (e.g., CISM, CISSP).
  • ISO Project Leadership: The candidate must have successfully led at least one ISO project in information security, such as ISO 27001 implementation.
  • Risk Management Expertise: Ability to develop and manage comprehensive risk management frameworks.
  • Policy Development Skills: Experienced in crafting, executing, and refining company policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and business goals.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication abilities for articulating risk and compliance strategies to stakeholders at all levels and fostering a culture of compliance and risk awareness.
  • Leadership Qualities: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong capability to analyze complex data and systems, identifying potential risks and devising effective solutions.
  • Technology Proficiency: Well-versed in current information technology and financial software systems.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and forward-thinking, with the capacity to adapt strategies in response to the fintech landscape’s evolving risks and opportunities.
