Residential Agronomist – East Bono Region At OMOKEHINDE FARMS LTD

We are seeking an experienced agronomist to live onsite and join our large-scale corn farm in the East Bono region of Ghana.

As our residential agronomist, you will supervise farming operations, ensure optimal crop health and yields, and work closely with our team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee planting, fertilisation, irrigation, and harvesting plans
• Monitor crop development and identify/treat disease, pests, nutritional deficiencies
• Conduct soil testing and analysis to determine proper amendments
• Supervise farm workers and field crews
• Maintain detailed records on crops, yields, costs, etc.
• Reside full-time on the farm

• Bachelors degree in Agronomy or years of experience
• 3+ years experience as an agronomist on a large commercial grain farm (over 500 hectres)
• Direct knowledge of industrial corn production – must have managed corn crops through entire planting, growing and harvest process
• Experience creating and implementing pest, disease, and nutrient management plans
• Background maintaining detailed digital records and utilising farm management software
• Experience managing teams of 10+ farm workers
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach to agronomy
• Comfortable living onsite at a working farm
• Willingness to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
• Passion for agriculture and continuous learning mindset
