About The Role
We are extremely excited to announce that we are on the lookout for a dedicated Representative Sales to be based at our offices in Accra in Ghana.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical, financial, commercial, and analytical capability to the Business Development Manager to achieve Orica’s growth strategy and maximise financial performance and reduce any risk associated in the areas of account, project, supply and capital planning, proposals, estimations, negotiations and contract management.

What you will be doing
- Leading by example in SHE through personal attitude and living Orica’s SHE principles
- Ensuring all legal, regulatory and corporate safety, compliance and environmental standards are met or exceeded;
- Updating all information in the company’s ERP and Customer Relationship Management systems, including opportunity creation, follow-up, and market intelligence
- Conducting BID and RFQ analysis and preparation, including financial models, system approval, internal alignment, business case preparation, presentation, technical value proposition, and commercial proposals;
- Ensuring contract compliance through volume and pricing analysis, R&F formula governance, contract variations, margin leakage identification and correction, resource model compliance, and risk analysis
- Analysing account performance by examining performance drivers, budget deviations, account profitability, product and service margins, TWC (DSO, DIH), CAPEX, RONA, and cash flow, with support from FBPs;
- Creating and reviewing account plans, following up on actions with TMs and customers, and aligning internally with all stakeholders to complete the actions;
- Supporting TMs in enhancing customer experience, loyalty, and retention through site, operational, and commercial actions;
- Assisting Marketing with Market Intel and the VoC Program for timely case closures; and ensure compliance with Commercial Group Policies (GS 03, 11, 19) in collaboration with Commercial Excellence.
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or related field
- A combination of technical knowledge, financial, analytical skills, and practical experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in competitive business environment with at least 2 years’ field/ operations experience
- Demonstrated ability to learn and understand the needs of a diverse mining, quarry and construction customer base, understand Orica’s unique capabilities, and facilitate the sale of appropriate solutions to those customer needs
