Job Summary

• As a Projects Planner, you are responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Your ability to effectively plan, schedule, and coordinate multiple tasks will be essential in driving the success of our projects.

• You will also collaborate with various stakeholders, including the project lead, site managers, site engineers, and subcontractors, to create realistic and achievable project plans.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Coordination:

• Develop detailed project schedules using project management software.
• Collaborate with project lead and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Identify and define project milestones, tasks, and timelines.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess progress and compliance with plans and specifications.

2. Resource Allocation:

• Coordinate with Site Managers, Site Engineers and General Foremen to allocate resources effectively.
• Monitor and adjust resource allocations to ensure optimal utilization.
• Anticipate potential resource constraints and propose solutions.

3. Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project timelines.
• Develop contingency plans to address potential delays.
• Regularly update project stakeholders on risk mitigation strategies.

4. Communication:

• Communicate project schedules and updates to all relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in regular project meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
• Work closely with project lead to address any schedule-related issues.

5. Data Analysis:

• Analyze project data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
• Provide regular reports on project progress, highlighting key milestones and potential risks.

6. Collaboration:

• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment of project schedules.
• Liaise with subcontractors to coordinate their activities and integrate them into the overall project plan.

7. Continuous Improvement:

• Propose and implement improvements to planning processes.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate them into project planning.

8. Project Documentation:

• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including project reports, schedules, and budgets

Other Duties

• Performs any other allied duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Project Lead or his designate.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Planner in the construction industry.
• Proficient in project management software and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be desirable.
• Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM).
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
