Position : Project Lead – Akosombo
We’re looking for a Project Lead.
As a Project Lead, you are the operational backbone of the Foundation, based in Akosombo, Ghana. In collaboration with our technical team, you coordinate the installation of dry system toilets at schools and co-develop them with our technical partner. Together with our Wash & Waste team, you coordinate waste management and toilet maintenance. At the same time, you are the primary link to the headquarters in the Netherlands: ensuring clear progress, timelines, and timely communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations & Team Coordination: Conduct operational check-ins, resolve bottlenecks, redistribute tasks, and maintain realistic project timelines.
- Project Execution on the Ground: Oversee progress across all active projects in Ghana (toilet construction, distribution of hygiene products, MHM education, waste processing chain). Identify risks early and ensure execution aligns with project plans.
- Bridge to Headquarters: Triage questions, updates, and escalations between Ghana and the Managing Director in the Netherlands.
- Process Development & Reporting: Build and refine project plans, operational roadmaps, budget overviews, and implementation frameworks. Ensure reporting/audits for donors and partners are completed ahead of time.
- Strategy to Execution: Translate annual and quarterly strategy into concrete weekly tasks and operational deliverables for the team. What We Offer:

• Monthly salary: USD 500 – USD 750 (depending on experience).

- Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, preferably in an NGO, development, or social enterprise context.
- Strong ability to translate strategic goals into concrete, actionable operational plans.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com or similar software).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience working with or within international organizations (preferably with Dutch organizations).
- Strong financial oversight and budgeting experience.
- Proactive, highly structured, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently.

Important Location Note: This is an on-site position based in Akosombo, Ghana (not remote). Relocation to Akosombo is required. Please note that accommodation costs are not covered.
