Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing:
- Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies for both clients and the organization to enhance brand visibility and market positioning.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, target audience, and unique selling propositions to tailor marketing campaigns accordingly.
Events and Activations Management:
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute impactful events and activations that align with client objectives and organization goals.
- Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including vendor management, budget oversight, and post-event evaluations.
- Supervise event team members to deliver according to the set KPIs for the event.
Market and Communication Research
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform strategic decision-making.
- Design and implement communication research projects to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Client Relationship Management
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with clients to understand their marketing needs and expectations.
- Regularly communicate with clients, providing updates on marketing initiatives, and campaign performance, and identifying opportunities for additional support.
Team Leadership
- Lead and inspire a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Ensure the team is aligned with organization and client objectives, and consistently deliver high-quality marketing solutions.
Budget Oversight:
- Manage budgets for marketing campaigns, events, and research projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.
- Provide regular financial reports and analysis related to marketing activities.
Performance Measurement and Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing initiatives and conduct regular assessments to measure success.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on campaign performance, event outcomes, and research findings for both internal and client review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Professional Certification or Qualification in Marketing or Digital Marketing.
- Certification in Project Management is a plus.
- Proven experience 4-5 years in marketing roles with a focus on strategic planning, events management, and market research.
- Agency experience is a plus
- Exceptional writing, grammar and editing skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team effectively.
- Experience managing graphic designers and/or directly using graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva etc.) is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of market trends, consumer behaviour, and emerging marketing technologies.
- Proficiency in using marketing tools, analytics, and project management software.
- Demonstrates strong verbal interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work. Strong time management and organizational skills. Experience creating/managing project budgets.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various software packages such as Microsoft Office
