Job Description

We are seeking skilled Painters to join our team for a commercial construction project in Accra, Ghana.

The Painter will be responsible for mixing, matching, and applying paint to various surfaces, completing touch-ups, and coordinating large painting projects.

The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and an understanding of paint mixing and application techniques.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint and other finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and other structures.
• Prepare surfaces for painting including plastering and sanding as needed.
• Mix and match paint to meet specific colour requirements.
• Ensure finish is free from defects and meets quality standards.
• Follow all safety guidelines to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
• Calculate the number of materials and time required for each project.
• Collaborate with construction crew and other tradespeople.

Required profile for job ad : PainterQualifications

• Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of painting techniques and the various types of paint and finishes.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
• Good understanding of colour theory and various finish types (matte, glossy etc.).
• Ability to always follow safety guidelines.
• Valid Ghanaian or international driver’s license.
• Flexibility to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certification as a Painter or similar role.
• Experience working in Ghana or a similar environment.
• Proficiency in both English and a local language.

This role is a fixed contract and you will be paid per day of contract.

The daily pay rate depends on the work carried out and can range from 50Ghs – 80 Ghs per day.
