As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in the Air Force, you’ll provide support to the Australian Defence Force during ground and air operations. You’ll work primarily as part of a surgical team on the ground, caring for patients within the Aeromedical Evacuation System or Land-based Trauma system.
You’ll also assist with resuscitation and stabilisation for critically or seriously unwell or injured patients, integrating with other health professionals to provide comprehensive patient care to all that require it.

For this role, you must be over 17 at time of appointment, an Australian Citizen and be registered as a Dental Practitioner and/or Medical Practitioner with the relevant Australian Board.
You must have a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (FRACDS (OMS)) and be registered as a specialist oral and maxillofacial surgeon with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
You will also need to be capable of obtaining a Security Clearance.
