Job Description

The Global Fund Community Systems Strengthening under Ghana Coalition of NGOs in Health (GCNH) as a potential Sub-recipient (SR) with the Ministry of Health/ Ghana Health Service/ National AIDS and STIs Control Program (NACP) as the Principal Recipient is soliciting applications from suitable and highly qualified individuals to fill the following position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer



The post holders will be responsible for the implementation of the Grant Cycle 7 under GCNH.

Please note that this recruitment is contingent upon the award of the Global Fund GC7 grant to GCNH as SR.

Position details

Title: Monitoring and Evaluations Officer

Project: Global Fund Community Systems Strengthening – GCNH

Duty station:  Accra

Duration: 12 months initially, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and fund availability

Supervisor: Senior Technical Advisor/ Project Coordinator

Reports to: Team Lead

Responsibilities of Monitoring and Evaluations Officer

Develop and oversee an efficient data management system using a recommended data management tool/ platform such as District Health Information Systems (e-tracker) and Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap)

  • Develop a detailed Monitoring and Evaluation plan to guide the implementation
  • Develop controls to regulate the data systems and ensure uniformity of information across all project sites
  • Ensure timely data collection, reporting, and utilization at the regional and national level.
  • In collaboration with project Officers ensure that cadre payment recommendations are based on evidence of work using the data system
  • Ensure compliance with project M&E frameworks and best practice in data management
  • conduct of data quality audits and ensure timely submission of Performance Updates to PR and sponsor.
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualification for Monitoring and Evaluation Officer roles:

  • First Degree in Public Health, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluations, Project management, or a related field.
  • Masters Degree will be an added advantage
  • At least 3 years’ relevant work experience is desirable.
  • Experience in developing data systems
  • Experience working with the Ghana Health sector and other health related NGOs
  • Good understanding of HIV/ and Sexual and Gender Based violence
  • Good writing and analytical skill
