Key Responsibilities:
Structural Design & Engineering:
- Design and engineer robust structures for solar panel systems, ensuring safety, durability, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Create adaptable designs that can be easily deployed and withstand environmental challenges.
- Optimize structures for weight efficiency without compromising on strength and stability.
Transport & Deployment Optimization:
- Engineer systems for maximum transport efficiency and minimal risk of damage during transit.
- Incorporate advanced shock absorption and vibration mitigation technologies.
- Design and test cable management systems to streamline installation and maintenance.
Aerodynamics & Load Analysis:
Perform detailed aerodynamic simulations to minimize wind resistance and optimize structural performance

Required profile for job ad : Mechanical Engineer – Ghana
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in structural design, preferably in solar energy systems, transportable structures, or heavy machinery.
• Expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for simulating mechanical behavior under complex loading conditions.
• Extensive experience with advanced aerodynamic optimization techniques, particularly in relation to wind load and efficiency of structures.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, or similar) for 3D modeling and detailed structural design of metallic systems.
• Hands-on experience with material fatigue analysis, including the use of dynamic and static loading criteria for fatigue life predictions.
• In-depth understanding of stress analysis, failure modes, and fatigue crack propagation in structural components.
• Expertise in the design of high-strength materials and their integration into solar mounting systems (e.g., galvanized steel, aluminum alloys, composite materials).
• Proven track record in system integration, particularly with solar panel mounting systems, ensuring seamless mechanical and electrical coordination.
• Experience with vibration testing, shock isolation, and seismic stability analysis.
• Strong proficiency in load-bearing calculations, including seismic loads, snow load, and wind load considerations.
• Proficiency in using simulation software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar for advanced modeling and optimization.
• Experience in design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA), especially in high-volume manufacturing settings.
• Knowledge of international standards (e.g., IEC 61215, ISO 9001, ASCE 7) and local regulations related to structural engineering and renewable energy systems.
• Ability to propose innovative and cost-effective solutions, balancing performance, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
