Since the very foundation of the company, we work 100% remotely from various cities all over the world as well as in Poland.
About the role:
We are looking for a person who is tech savvy and a team player to join our amazing MSP team as the MSP Support Engineer L2 who will play a key role in Clearscale’s Managed Services team. In this role, you will be part of a team that supports clients’ cloud infrastructure, AWS service maintenance, troubleshooting, and complex AWS related tasks. The working hours are Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:00pm, there are some maintenance windows planned during the weekends.
Job responsibilities:
- Provide second-level proactive support for ClearScale’s global customers
- Client’s environment maintenance (*NIX-systems): maintain alerts and issues escalated from the L1 Support, working with Jira tasks in waterfall methodology, detection of bottlenecks, analysis of graphs, etc
- Assist in troubleshooting for all operative and infrastructure incidents
- Establish best practices for alerting and troubleshooting network events for the MSP Support team
- Monitor the performance and capability of computer systems using diversified tools
- Perform impact analysis and initial evaluations
- Keeping highest quality of service by meeting SLA requirements set and enforced by the ticketing system and internal company policy
- Create trouble tickets with the carriers for circuit issues
- In response to incidents, the Support engineer should carefully track and document all defects and resolutions in detail
- Collaborate with the technical support team and engineering team as needed
- Communications with the customer and other teams in English (emails, slack chat, calls, work sessions)
Required skills and experience:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Very good understanding of Project Management tools and Agile/Waterfall methodology (Atlassian Jira, Microsoft DevOps)
- AWS Ops experience and expertise with key AWS services (EC2, IAM, S3, VPC, EKS, RDS)
- Experience with Linux at the command line level
- Experience with Linux Server, Windows support (2+ years)
- Experience with web technologies like Apache, IIS, Nginx, TomCat
- Good understanding of DNS, HTTPS, TCP/IP
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Zabbix, Nagios, Dynatrace, DataDog, SolarWinds, other)
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to work to your greatest potential and provide excellent customer support and learning new technologies
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Upper-Intermediate English oral and written is a must (B2-C1)
Will be a huge plus:
- Management knowledge of Jira and Confluence
- Experience with Terraform
- Certification of AWS System Administrator/Cloud Engineer
- Knowledge of other Public Cloud platforms – Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
- Scripting: bash, shell, Python, and/or other programming skills
- Databases: MySQL/ PostgreSQL / Mongo
- Knowledge of RedShift is a very big plus
- Production infrastructure support (2-3 years)
