Applications are being invited from eligible candidates for the following position in a reputable Public Service Institution: Principal Internal Auditor
Job Purpose
• To provide technical and operational support for risk management controls and governance systems and processes of the institution
Key Responsibilities
• Supports the designing and implementation of effective internal audit system
• Generates internal and external audit reports
• Supports monitoring of the implementation of recommendations raised in audit report
• Coordinates risk management processes and recommends effective implementation of internal control systems
• Develops and reviews enterprise risk management procedures and policy and ensures the execution of annual risked based audit plan
• Supports external auditors to address challenges and resolve matters that affect and defeat the tenets of transparency and accountability
• Provides operational support in good financial management practices to curb incidents of maladministration
• Drafts annual report on the performance of the internal audit unit
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited tertiary institution in Auditing, Accounting, Finance or any related field
• A member of an auditing or accounting professional body e.g. CIA, ICA, ACCA.
• A minimum of 6 years post qualification relevant work experience in a reputable institution
• Must pass a competitive selection interview
