Job Summary
• To oversee all financial operations of an organization
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical expertise in the development of finance strategies/plans as input into the overall corporate strategy
• Lead and direct the development of financial management policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work plans, control systems including monitoring mechanisms to monitor and ensure compliance and consistency in their interpretation and implementation
• Responsible for conducting financial modeling, forecasts and analysis to support the development of strategic initiatives and business plans of the company
• Responsible for the preparation of the annual operating budget for the finance department and monitor its implementation to ensure compliance with the approved budget
• Oversee and monitor the preparation of variance analysis of revenue and expenditure against approved budget for prompt corrective actions on any deviation
• Lead and guide the development of appropriate accounting control systems to ensure sound financial management of the company’s accounts
Qualification Required & Experience
• Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Chartered with membership in a recognized professional body. (CIA, ICA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
• 10 years of relevant working experience with at least 5 years in a management position
