Although we started as a school, DevWorld Tech Academy is expanding and so we are establishing a new and ambitious technology firm based in Ghana, focused on delivering cutting-edge web, software, and mobile solutions. As our first technical hire, you will play a key role in laying the foundation of our product development and service delivery capabilities.
We are looking for a Full-Stack Web Developer who is versatile, independent, and excited about building from the ground up. If you’re passionate about tech and ready to grow with a startup tech services provider, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications (frontend & backend)
• Work closely with the founder to plan and execute client and internal projects
• Assist in setting up development tools, workflows, and basic infrastructure
• Implement features, fix bugs, and ensure responsiveness and performance
• Support the hiring and onboarding of future developers as we grow
Qualification Required & Experience
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React, Vue, or similar)
• Backend experience with Node.js, Django, Laravel, or similar frameworks
• Experience working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
• Git version control and basic DevOps familiarity
• Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines
• Preferred but Not Required
• UI/UX design experience
• Familiarity with REST APIs or GraphQL
• Prior startup or freelance experience
