Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Vision:

  • Develop and articulate a clear vision for the school’s academic and co-curricular programs.
  • Provide strategic leadership to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Curriculum Development and Implementation:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of a robust and relevant curriculum.
  • Ensure adherence to national educational standards and continuous improvement in teaching methodologies.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor teaching and administrative staff.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Student Welfare:

  • Foster a supportive and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Implement effective discipline and pastoral care programs.

Community Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and the local community.
  • Organize and participate in community outreach initiatives.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the school’s budget effectively.
  • Ensure financial resources are allocated efficiently to support educational goals.

Quality Assurance:

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs.
  • Implement measures to enhance the overall quality of teaching and learning.

Qualifications and Requirements:

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Ghanaian/International educational system and curriculum.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Postgraduate degree preferred.
  • Hold a professional teaching certification with a minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Demonstrate proven leadership experience within an educational setting..
  • Hold a rank of at least Assistant Director.
  • Be able to work under pressure.
  • Be under 55 years of age.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a working knowledge in ICT.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
