The Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities provides support services across child protection, domestic and family violence, youth justice services, multicultural affairs and senior’s recognition. As the General Manager, Regional Services, your primary objective is to provide high level strategic and operational leadership, advice and planning for the Central Australia region including service delivery across the Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities (TFHC) portfolios to deliver high quality client and community centred, integrated, place based services. Your key responsibilities include providing high level advice to the DCEO on matters related to the implementation of integrated services delivery models in Central Australia for child protection, youth justice, and housing and community services. In addition you will be responsible for delivering high level priorities with a focus on improving the cultural security, effectiveness and efficiency of strategic services.
To meet the challenges of this strategic role you need demonstrated experience as a senior executive with a strong understanding of contemporary issues impacting public housing; children and families in remote and regional communities. Superior communication and interpersonal skills with exceptional collaborative, influential and cultural competence is essential.
