We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our senior management team as the Director of Finance and Grants Management. Position Overview:
The Director of Finance and Grants Management will lead our annual budgeting process, collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform controller duties, oversee financial analysis and forecasting, and prepare regular financial reports for the board and senior management teams. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating audit activities and, in close collaboration with the Director of Programs and Operations, managing grant/subgrant and contract activities, ensuring compliance, reporting, and financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee financial management, policies, and systems.
Manage all accounting operations and ensure accuracy and compliance.
Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with various functional areas.
Perform controller duties, including financial analysis and forecasting.
Oversee the preparation of regular financial reports for the board and senior management.
Coordinate all audit activities and engage with external auditors.
Manage grant/subgrant and contract activities, ensuring compliance and financial management.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement the organization’s strategy, plans, and policies.
Report directly to the Executive Director.

Skills and Qualifications:

A Master’s degree in Business Administration or Finance.
Qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICA) or Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) or other relevant accounting and financial management qualifications.
Proficiency in financial and accounting software such as ACCPAC and MS Office.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within set deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and coherent reports.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant job experience; experience in a not-for-profit organization of a similar or larger size is an advantage.
Proven track record of leading financial audits, including experience working with external auditors.
Outstanding organizational and planning skills with a high level of efficiency.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, with flexibility to work longer hours during peak periods.
Professional maturity and personal integrity.
Tech-savvy.
