Job Description:
The Construction Foreman will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the construction site, including supervising the work of labourers, subcontractors, and tradespeople. They will also be responsible for managing the scheduling, budgeting and quality control of the construction project.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting and quality control.
- Manage and supervise the work of labourers, subcontractors and tradespeople.
- Ensure that construction work is carried out in compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Maintain clear communication with project managers, clients and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on the progress of construction work, including any issues or delays.
- Ensure that all materials, equipment and supplies are available as needed.
- Ensure that the construction site is kept clean, organised and secure at all times.
Education:
- A degree or certification in construction management or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction worker, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Project Management:
- Proven experience in managing construction projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.

- Ability to effectively lead a team of workers and delegate tasks, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, contractors, and clients.

- Ability to identify and resolve complex construction problems quickly and efficiently.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and perform manual labour as needed.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with project management software, scheduling programs, and other related technologies.
Safety Awareness:
- Strong commitment to safety and a deep understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
