The College Secretary is the Head of the Office of the College Secretariat

• He/She shall assist the Principal in the administration and management of the college
• It shall be the responsibility of the college secretary to ensure the functioning of all boards and standing committees of the college
• The Office of the Secretary is in charge of all administrative, secretarial and personnel matters of the college
• Implementation and evaluation of approved college strategic plan and policies
• Establishing and maintaining procedures, policies and systems that work for effective Administrative operations
• Establishing and maintaining links with relevant organisations interested in Education to promote effective and efficient teacher education in the college
• Planning, organising, coordinating and measuring the work activities of the college
• Representing and promoting the public image of the college
• The Secretary of the college shall be the Chief Administrative Officer of the college and is answerable to the Principal of the college in the discharge of his/her duties
• Be able to complete at least one term of 4 years before attaining the compulsory retirement the of 60 years

Qualification Required & Experience

• Applicants must possess a good first degree and postgraduate degree preferably in Administration and management related area or social science
• Applicants must have served as a Deputy Secretary in a college of Education or a Senior Assistant Registrar in a University or comparable grade in a similar institution/organisation for at least 4 years
• Applicant must possess strong IT skills and be familiar with relevant administrative software
• Applicant must be analytical, critical, result oriented, innovative and visionary among others
• Possess excellent communication, inter-personal and supervisory skills
• Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
