Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Healthcare Tech Startup Business Development Officer to join a new healthcare tech startup within the digital healthcare sector. It is essential that the post holder has at least 1 year of experience working within a tech startup in Ghana or another African country and understands the processes involved in establishing a successful startup in Ghana. This role aims to facilitate brand identity development and assist in establishing its place within the African online market. The post holder will be at the forefront of identifying new opportunities for the organisation and helping it to establish its customer base. Additionally, the post holder will require practical analytical and communication skills to be able to identify and engage with new stakeholders and investors.

Job Description/Requirements
Location: Ghana
Remuneration: 3000GHc/ monthly
Contract type: Full- Time, 6 months fixed-term with potential to become permanent after a performance review
Key Responsibilities
Duties:
• Researching healthcare market trends and identifying gaps in the market
• Pitching and developing high-level business plans.
• Create weekly reports on business development strategies for improving performance.
• Support ongoing efforts to develop the brand and platform around healthcare digitalization
• Look at industry news, and qualitative and quantitative data to identify new opportunities and trends, reporting back on where these can add value or create impact.
• Identify and engage with potential partners and investors to elevate the profile of the company

Education/ Knowledge:
• Minimum of first degree in any Business or Marketing related field
• Business or Marketing master’s degree desirable
• Knowledge of the online healthcare ecosystem in Africa
• Strong understanding of copyright laws
Experience:
• Minimum of 1 years working within a tech startup company based in Ghana or another African country
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a business development or sales role
• Strong knowledge of the social media and e-commerce industries
• Experience of having founded or grown a business with direct experience in the areas of sales, marketing, partnerships, finance and technology is essential.
• Experience in healthcare marketing or finance

• Understands the importance of intellectual property laws, and is willing to work within specific guidelines
• Willing to sign non-discloser agreements and other legally binding documents regarding privacy

• Access to all relevant IT equipment needed to undertake all the tasks detailed above
• Access to all the appropriate software and communication equipment to be able to engage with members of the team
Other Duties:
• To undertake appropriate administration tasks
• To attend relevant meetings
