Do you have analysis experience, are delivery oriented, enjoy defining processes and providing expert help and support? if so, we are looking to recruit 2 experienced Business Analysts on 18-month fixed term contracts to play a key role supporting the Portfolio Planning & Management Team in its delivery of a high profile, commercially critical, business Strategic Initiatives.

This appointment will be made on merit.

About the role

You will investigate and analyse user and business needs, ensuring change outcomes are aligned with the product vision and business strategy. You will contribute to the link between current and future business models, delivering against the target business design. And will be responsible for eliciting detailed requirements and design processes. You will constructively challenge and act as a critical friend to optimise productive communication with all stakeholders to support strategy, design, and delivery in achieving business requirements and user needs.

Your activities will involve large numbers of varied stakeholders, often requiring procedures and methodologies to be adapted to unique scenarios, business processes improvements and helping teams to transition from ‘as is’ to the ‘to be’ state while we implement a new technology solution and ways of working.

You will need to be based in the UK working on a hybrid basis with a mix of home and office – but you do need to be within commutable distance from one of our City & Guilds hub offices

About you

You’ll need proven business analysis skills and have demonstratable experience of working as a business analyst technology related, some of it ideally in an Agile environment.

You will have a thorough understanding of different delivery models including Waterfall and Agile.

You must have the ability to manage change as priorities can change very quickly and a passion for the delivery of effective business solutions. You should have a good understanding of the software development life cycle and experience that includes end to end technology projects. Skilled in business process engineering and requirements analysis on system integration projects, you must be comfortable working across customer facing, ERP, and bespoke technologies.

As Business Analyst, you will have experience being involved in projects from business case creation through requirements elicitation to User Acceptance Testing co-ordination, test planning, execution and release to BAU,

Our business analysts are expert communicators, with natural negotiation and facilitation skills. They work to the highest standards of accuracy and have an innate drive to succeed. These skills will be paramount for the successful candidate as you’ll be working with a wide range of stakeholders within the business, across IT and with external providers – and all may at times have limited availability and multiple priorities! You will be the glue that brings together programme workstreams, internal customers and technical teams.

Whilst not mandatory, it would be beneficial if you have an understanding of test approaches and experience in supporting testing activites, including development and execution of test scripts.
