Position : Bitumen Decanter Operator – Accra
We are looking for a Bitumen Decanter Operator.
Responsibilities :
- Operating the decanter:
- Load bitumen drums into the decanter machine.
- Monitor and adjust heating temperatures to melt the bitumen efficiently.
- Regulate the flow of molten bitumen to ensure consistent quality.
- Monitor pressure gauges and other operational parameters.
- Maintenance and inspection:
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the decanter, including filters, pipes, and heating elements.
- Identify and troubleshoot any operational issues with the decanter.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections to check for leaks, damage, or safety hazards.
- Report any maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Quality control:
- Regularly check the quality of the melted bitumen by testing viscosity and other relevant parameters.
- Identify and address any issues affecting the quality of the bitumen.

- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of industrial machinery
