A Public Service institution is seeking a versatile, proactive and results-oriented persons for the position below at its Offices.



JOB TITLE               :           ASSISTANT IT AUDIT MANAGER

DIRECTORATE       :           INTERNAL AUDIT

REPORTS TO          :           HEAD OF DIRECTORATE

SUPERVISES            :           NIL

JOB LOCATION      :           ACCRA

JOB PURPOSE         :           To provide operational support for the effective and efficient                                                 performance of the Internal Audit functions of the Fund.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collects data for the formulation of policies.
  • Collates data for the development of the Fund’s audit universe and risk register.
  • Responsible for monitoring IT systems to ensure they follow policies and practices.
  • Evaluate technology, identify controls and keep records
  • Compile a vast array of data into a coherent report for management.
  • Undertakes detailed audits of information technology systems and infrastructures to verify systems are secure and support the related applications or business processes.
  • Undertakes audit verification assignments.
  • Prepares and submits audit findings.
  • Prepares and maintains audit working papers for jobs assigned.
  • Provides inputs in the review of Financial and Operational Systems
  • Prepares internal IT audit reports and submits recommendations.
  • Maintain effective internal audit programme and control mechanism for the organization
  • Undertake Risk Assessment
  • Perform special reviews or projects if necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

DIRECT ENTRY

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with Technology or Computerized Accounting or any other related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution
  • Part qualification from a recognized and relevant professional body such as ICA-GH, ACCA, CPA or CIMA will be an added advantage.
  • Must have completed National Service.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge in financial management laws, regulations and fiscal policies.
  • Communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge in relevant IT applications.
  • High integrity and good ethical standard.
