Amaroo Hotel, a reputable hospitality entity in Dubbo, is seeking a diligent and experienced Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial transactions and records, including accounts reconciliation, payroll and invoices; and assisting with financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
– Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
– Ensure timely processing and recording of all invoices and financial transactions.
– Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
– Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data by following internal controls.
– Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely and accurate manner.
– Assist with tax audit and tax returns preparation.
– Collaborate with financial auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
– Assist with preparing financial statements.
– Assist with internal and external auditing procedures.
– Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
– AQF Certificate II or III or equivalent.
– At least one year of relevant experience in a similar role. Experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
