Position : Senior Quantity Surveyor – Accra
We are seeking an experienced and certified Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) with a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects. The successful candidate will bring in years of professional experience in quantity surveying, particularly within MEP contracting environments. The role is based in Accra, Ghana, with possible assignments in other parts of the country.The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional who excels in keeping projects on track and budget. You’ll be responsible for managing costs, contracts, and timelines, working closely with project teams and stakeholders to make sure everything runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities
Measurement and Valuation:
- Prepare monthly interim payment applications for ongoing projects.
- Ensure timely pricing and submission of variation orders in compliance with contract terms.
Cost Control & Claims Management:
- Identify and raise concerns about cost-impacting changes.
- Prepare and defend contractual claims with clients.
- Prepare final accounts and work closely with the finance team to reconcile project expenditures.
Tendering & Procurement:
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive tender documents.
- Conduct pre-tender feasibility studies to estimate material, labor, and time costs.
- Participate actively in tendering through pricing, organizing, and submission.
- Evaluate subcontractor tenders and manage the procurement process.
- Prepare subcontractor payment certificates.
Project & Contract Administration:
- Manage subcontractor contracts, including administration, compliance, and coordination.
- Support the preparation of invoices and work orders.
- Monitor construction progress, site safety, subcontractor activity, and material usage.
- Ensure proper documentation and timely flagging of any discrepancies or variations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to calculate material quantities and costs.
- Negotiate labor contracts and schedules where required.

Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years working as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in a senior capacity within MEP-focused companies.
- Certification: Certified Quantity Surveyor or equivalent accreditation preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Strong command of quantity surveying practices, particularly related to MEP installations.
- Mobility: Willingness to work across various regions of Ghana as required.
- Integrity: Commitment to professional ethics and company confidentiality.

Working Conditions:
- Environment: Office/On-site
- Flexibility to travel for site visits, client meetings, and property expos across different locations.
- All business-related travel outside Accra will be supported by the company in terms of logistics, accommodation, and allowances, as mutually agreed in advance.
- The Senior QS is expected to maintain professional independence and may not delegate or assign duties without written approval from the company.
- Work may include occasional extended hours based on project deadlines and operational demands.
