Renumeration: Grade 1-2 Scientist ($62,426 – $104,811.20 pa pro rata)

Job description:
There is an exciting vacancy for a fixed term full-time (25 weeks) grade 1 or 2 respiratory scientist in the Respiratory Laboratory, Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at the Austin Hospital. Grading (1 or 2) will be in accordance with the applicable Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) as indicated in the position descriptions.
The Austin Respiratory Laboratory is a centre for excellence. As part of a teaching hospital, this large clinical laboratory service performs a comprehensive range of patient testing. The laboratory plays a cornerstone role in the department and has links to the wider hospital and to other clinical services and institutions, including services to the state-wide Victorian Respiratory Support Service and the Institute for Breathing and Sleep. This role will involve performing respiratory function testing as part of the team, both at the main campus and at satellite laboratories.
The successful applicant(s) will be appropriately qualified and enjoy the combination of technical, inter-personal, clinical and physiology skills required for the position. Lung function testing experience is desirable.
