Job Description

We are looking for skilled Masons to join our team for a commercial construction project in Accra, Ghana. The Mason will be responsible for building and repairing structures, walkways, walls, and other constructions with brick, concrete, and other similar building materials.

The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, with an eye for precision and detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, or other masonry units.
• Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces.
• Construct and install prefabricated masonry units.
• Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
• Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces.
• Lay radial bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys.
• Collaborate with construction crew and other tradespeople.

• Proven experience as a Mason or in a similar role in construction.
• Strong working knowledge of job site safety.
• Ability to read and interpret working plans.
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (power drills, grinders, saw, etc).
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 90 pounds, as necessary.
• Valid Ghanaian or international driver’s license.
• Flexibility to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certification as a Mason or similar role.
• Experience working in Ghana or a similar environment.
• Proficiency in both English and a local language such as Akan or Ewe.
