Reporting directly to the OSC Manager and under the overall supervision of the Director of the DVS, with close collaboration with the Programme Specialist GHR at UNFPA, the Programme Assistant plays a vital role in advancing UNFPA’s Gender and Human Rights program. More
The Programme Assistant position focuses on reducing gender-based violence (GBV) and accelerating progress towards achieving the ICPD agenda and SDG 5 targets.
Key responsibilities include referring GBV survivors to professional support services and providing a 24-hour GBV hotline prevention and response helpline service.

Qualifications and Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required for hotline staff.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Communication, or Social Sciences.
Basic knowledge of counselling and psychotherapy.
Proficiency in PowerPoint presentations and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of and respect for human rights programming.
Proficiency in at least two Ghanaian local languages.
