Job Description
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement an effective national sales strategy to achieve and surpass company sales targets.
- Collaborate with senior management to understand company objectives and strategies, ensuring alignment of sales operations.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjuststrategies accordingly.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team, ensuring they are equipped to meet sales targets and professional objectives.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team, emphasizing product knowledge, selling skills, and territory management.
Relationship Management
- Build and sustain relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and industry professionals.
- Manage relationships with hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and other healthcare institutions to ensure maximum reach.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Monitor sales metrics, providing regular sales forecasts to senior management.
- Evaluate sales performance according to KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
Budget Management
- Develop and manage sales budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across regions.
- Control expenses and monitor budgets to ensure ROI.
Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with the marketing, supply chain, finance, and regulatory teams to streamline operations and enhance the sales process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field. An advanced degree or MBA will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional sales experience in the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales quotas and leading sales teams.
- In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape in Ghana.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel nationally on a regular basis.
