Contract Type: Fixed term (Variable)
The Physician Assistant (PA) will primarily support MSIG Clinical teams by providing general medical care and STI Management services. The PA will work closely with the Clinical Quality Team to ensure Quality assured health services are provided in the Centre. The post will be based in MSIG Ashiaman Centre. The candidate will contribute to organization-wide strategy and model key leadership behaviours in line with the Evolving Model strategy and values of MSI RCL Ghana.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnership and network building
- Develop functional relationships with key partners interested in clinical issues in respect of service delivery.
- Build strong and collaborative relationships with other health care providers to facilitate sharing of learnings, referrals, and management of medical emergencies.
Service Delivery
- Provide full range of primary health care services.
- Collaborate with the Medical development team to ensure all quality assurance requirements, processes, and procedures are maintained during service delivery.
- Provide advice on general health services to the clinical and operational teams.
- Assist with clinical training of healthcare providers.
- Promote and maintain a professional working environment.
- Perform any other clinical functions required by MSIG.
Communication and Administration
- Maintain professional communication standards with head of departments and other team members.
- Keep and manage records of service provision activities.
- Regularly provide clinical project updates to Health management teams.
- Ensure formal communications with the various partners are properly documented.
Required Skills or Experience
To succeed in this role, you must have:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in providing general healthcare services.
- Have Permanent registration and in good standing with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council
- Be well-versed in Ghana Health Service clinical policies, protocols, and standards.
- Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, Excel spread sheet and presentation applications.
- People management and leadership skills
- Quality assurance in healthcare
- Be energetic and enthusiastic about sexual and reproductive health
