We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our organization, reporting to the Head of People Analytics Innovation and Data Science. You will play a critical role in leveraging data and advanced analytical techniques to drive strategic decisions related to our workforce. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR (Talent, Rewards, Global Mobility), Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Business Services, to provide data-driven insights and recommendations that optimize our people-related strategies and initiatives.
Key Outputs
You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the HR function and the business with people analytics.
- Data Analysis and Modelling: Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large and complex datasets related to employee demographics, performance, engagement, retention, and other HR metrics. Develop predictive models to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform people strategies.
- ML Engineering: Develop, deploy, and maintain robust and scalable ML systems. Build efficient pipelines, integrating models into production, monitoring and maintaining model performance, optimizing system performance, and ensuring data security and privacy
- People Analytics Strategy: Collaborate with HR and business leaders to define and shape the people analytics strategy. Identify key business questions and objectives, and design analytical approaches to address them. Develop frameworks and methodologies to measure the impact of HR initiatives on business outcomes.
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Create visually compelling and interactive dashboards, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders. Present findings to senior leadership and HR teams, translating complex data into actionable insights that drive decision-making
- Data Governance and Integrity: Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the analytics process. Adhere to and enhance data governance frameworks, data privacy protocols, and compliance measures to protect sensitive employee information.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in people analytics. Continuously enhance analytical methodologies, tools, and processes to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of people analytics initiatives
What will make you successful?
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and modelling
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Solid understanding of SQL and database management
- Experience in ML engineering
- Experience in using and building within the Snowflake architecture is desirable
- Experience in using Streamlit or Shiny is desirable
Consultancy & Analytical Skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and drive people analytics initiatives.
- Strong Stakeholder management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Comfortable working with large datasets and applying statistical techniques to derive meaningful conclusions
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science or a similar role.
- Experience and knowledge of HR advantageous however we welcome experts with a diverse background
- Strong expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and machine learning techniques
