Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Contractor to join our team for a commercial construction project in Accra, Ghana. The Flooring Contractor will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing flooring surfaces including hardwood, tile, and concrete. The successful candidate will have experience with various flooring materials and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Installing flooring materials such as carpet, hardwood, laminate, and tile.
• Repairing damaged flooring materials.
• Making recommendations about the best flooring materials.
• Preparing the flooring for installation, which includes removing old flooring and cleaning the area.
• Cutting flooring materials to fit the room, which often includes cutting them around fixtures or other structures.
• Collaborating with construction crew and other tradespeople.

You will be required to send proof of previous work you have undertaken.

• Proven experience as a Flooring Contractor or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of various flooring materials and installation procedures.
• Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods, and lift heavy flooring materials.
• Attention to detail and ability to work well both alone and in a team.
• Valid Ghanaian or international driver’s license.
• Flexibility to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certification as a Flooring Contractor or similar role.
• Experience working in Ghana or a similar environment.
• Proficiency in both English and a local language such as Akan or Ewe.
