Introduction:

As a plumber, you play a vital role in ensuring the proper functioning and installation of plumbing systems. Plumbers are skilled tradespeople who specialize in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing components. Your expertise and knowledge contribute to the safe and efficient operation of water supply, drainage, and gas systems. This job description will outline the key responsibilities and requirements for a plumber:

• Read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation requirements of plumbing systems.
• Install pipes, fixtures, and fittings, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and gas lines, according to the project’s plans and specifications.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and electricians, to coordinate the installation of plumbing systems alongside other building components.

• Inspect and test plumbing systems to identify any defects, leaks, or malfunctions.
• Repair or replace damaged or faulty plumbing components, such as pipes, valves, faucets, and toilets.
• Conduct routine maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of plumbing systems and prevent potential issues
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to plumbing installations.
• Implement appropriate safety measures to prevent accidents or injuries on the construction site.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety protocols.
• Coordinate with other tradespeople, project managers, and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of plumbing tasks.
• Communicate any challenges, delays, or additional requirements to the project team or relevant stakeholders.
• Provide assistance or guidance to other team members when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation details, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Report any issues, deviations from plans, or changes to the plumbing system layout to the project manager or relevant personnel.
• Prepare and submit necessary documentation, such as progress reports, material requisitions, and inspection reports.

This role is paying 715Ghs per month.

• Valid plumbing license or certification.
