Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
As a Chef or Cook, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Experience managing a busy kitchen and providing direction for your staff
- Have an exceptional eye for detail
- Be able to maintain food quality
- Experience in menu planning and creating new dishes
- Have a sound knowledge of kitchen operations and management including ordering, costing, stock control, food safety, rostering and staff training.
- Maintain safety and hygiene standards of the kitchen and equipment meet weekly with management to discuss budgets, new ideas and other issues.
Skills and Experience:
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Possess a minimum of three years of experience working in a commercial kitchen.
- Experience in a commercial kitchen is highly preferred.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic, with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail.
- Be able to take personal responsibility and provide clear leadership and communication to your team.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 per year
